As soon as I find the right one at a decent price I'll grab it. the last one I got was the #1 about 20 years ago and it took about a year or so to get it. __________________ It is a joyful thing indeed to hold intimate converse with a man after ones own heart, chatting without reserve about things of interest or the fleeting topics of the world; but such, alas, are few and far between.

Yoshida Kenko (1283-1350) I just went to their shop last week, when I was on a business trip!

If you never had a chance to own a Randall, I suggest you check them out, as they are a piece of our US History, and well worth the price of ownership.

I have had this for a while, but never had the chance to put it to use for anything other than opening boxes and the mail.

The one on the right is my Model 12-9 Bowie that I got a month or so ago.

I have the carcases laying in a cage on an ant hill, so I can come back and collect the small bones to use in my leather projects too: This guy is a Bull snake.

Randall Made Knives, usually referred to as Randall, is an American custom handcrafted knife manufacturer founded by Walter Doane "Bo" Randall, Jr. Two examples of Randall's Model 17 "Astro", designed for the use of astronauts, are on display in the Smithsonian Institution.

It has a 9" carbon steel blade, stag grip and brass trimmings: I did my best to put a dent in the local Diamondback population.

I used the Bowie for removing the heads and tails and the 10-3 worked great for skinning them all out. I plan to use them and the rattles in some of my leather projects.Wait time is very long as mentioned, put in order for a #8 and #15.But I plan on using them, can't imagine paying that much for and not using it for what it is designed to do.I recently sold a 5" #1 with stag handle from the 50's.I am looking for a smaller model 25 to complete my Randall wish list. Randall's are the best Not collecting any more and I sold or gave away what I had but about 12 or so years ago, I got lucky (I guess) and called them up and bought a #1 from inventory and got it in a few days and even got a #14 with a single custom feature in a few weeks. Even the dealers are 2-3 years out on knives ordered now from what I can tell.__________________ ALL OF MY POSTS AND REPLIES ARE MY OWN OPINIONS derived from both facts and my own personal experiences.
